Nice to meet you

ABOUT US

I am a PCI certified pickleball instructor with a combined 20 years of racket sport experience including college tennis, competitive leagues, and 7 years of pickleball. I am also a founding member of two non-profit groups – SCTA and the VP of Vacaville Pickleball.

As a player and a coach, I enjoy the interaction of strategy, technique, and athletics of pickleball. Thousands of hours were spent on the court due to my fascination and passion for the sport. This dedication led to my game’s continuous improvement and my expertise to now offer the best possible service as a coach.

In my work, I place emphasis on working with each player to develop their unique skills. Bridging the gap between your current shots to more technically sound strokes requires making incremental adjustments. It is my goal to teach in a simple, creative and entertaining way.

Regardless of your level or long term goals, making incremental adjustments, rather than radical changes, is the most efficient and effective way to progress. Whether you’re are a beginner or an ambitious player – let me support you in finding a simple, and effective way to effortlessly play pickleball with more joy on the court, and take you to the next level!

Quality, not quantity

I am also a founding member of the SCTA. The SCTA is working in conjunction with our local pickleball community to promote and develop the growth of both tennis and pickleball in the Northern Solano County area.

Some of my proudest moments are seeing novice players become passionate about the sport as they develop the skills to take home gold in their first tournaments. I encourage players to strive to do their best, regardless of the outcome. Playing your best and maintaining a positive attitude allows you to gain confidence and continue to grow as a player.

From London, England I have now been living in the United States since 2016. I played Division 1 tennis for The University of Northern Colorado and Nicholls State University. Received a Bachelors of Business Management in Colorado and a Masters of Business Administration in Louisiana.

Currently playing professional pickleball on the APP and PPA tour. Since picking up the game I have fallen in love with it. My goal now is to become one of the top ranked pro’s in the world. I love bringing all my years of experience playing tennis to the pickleball court. I want to help others reach the highest level in their pickleball game.

TESTIMONIALS

Karyssa L.

Brett has been my Pickleball coach for three years. In a matter of months I gained control of the ball, learned better placement, and adjusted how I moved to competently cover the court. Brett would examine my game and then give examples for how to improve weaknesses. He allowed me to explore different ways to complete shots without telling me it had to be done in a certain manner. His coaching style is exactly what I needed: fun, relaxed, but structured.

I have been training with Brett for over a year now. Most of our time has been correcting bad habits I created before we met. Brett has an ability to identify problematic behavior and the skill set to suggest solutions to improve my game. He is very patient, knowledgeable and worth every hour we spend together.

Brett is an amazing coach and person, and a pleasure to be around on the court. I am so incredibly happy with the opportunity I had to play against him. Ever since we played together, I have seen that what he thought me in match play has reflected in the results that I have seen in my own game. I thoroughly enjoy each the lesson I had with him. Since then, I have always felt like I am continuing to improve both my technique and strategy, while actively implementing the work that I did with him in practice during my match play.

Brett was my coach for two years before I moved out of California. He is extremely talented, patient and has a natural ability to teach. I greatly enjoyed drilling, as I found my game improved fastest that way. It wasn’t long before I was able to confidently step onto a court with any player, whether a beginner or pro. I am extremely grateful for the motivation, encouragement and skills I developed with Brett as my coach and I’m thankful that my daughter can continue to learn from him.
